Birthday Traditions

Lately Jon and I have been craving food from some of our favorite restaurants.  So, just go and have a dinner out, seems easy enough, right?!  WRONG!  SW Florida doesn't have some of our favorite restaurant chains. Boo!!

No On The Border, no Potbelly's, and this one kills Jon the most, no Buffalo Wild Wings.

Jon has been dying for some BWW lately, and with his birthday coming up in a couple weeks he's craving it even more.  For the past 3 years we've gone to BWW for his birthday.

So, I think I'll be ordering some Spicy Garlic Sauce from their website and making some "homemade" BWW.  I know it won't be exactly the same, but it's as good as it's going to get. :)

Here's a picture of us at BWW for Jon's 20th Bday.  My flash is a little bright, which would be why his eyes look funny.  P.S. notice how we match!?  Cuuuuute, huh?! :)

What about you guys?  What's your go-to restaurant for your birthday or special occasions?  Do you have another birthday tradition?

Usually a local Italian Restaurant here in town or our favorite country club. But as far as chains go, we LOVE Olive Garden.

Hope your wings turn out!! :)

That's so weird! I don't know how far it would be for you, but there are several BWW up 75 near Port Charlotte/Venice. It could be a neat surprise evening road trip!

Stateside ... my hubby and I LOVE a hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant that my parents both grew up going to! We had our Rehearsal Dinner there, too.

Here in Deutschland ... we don't have a favorite yet! The only chain in our vicinity is a Subway on-post! The closest American food restaurants are hours away!

I do miss BWW, too!!!!!!

You are so sweet to make him wings with the BWW sauce! Great idea. We cook a lot but if there is a mexican restaurant nearby we love to check it out!!

Pulled pork bbq - it's manna from heaven :)

Y'all may as well embrace your new home and try out a native Florida eatin' place - you can find some goooood food at local restaurants.

One place that my little city doesn't have that I always crave is Chipotle. They have them in Tampa and Orlando, but not here. I fell in love when I'd go visit my cousins in Colorado.... we finally got them in Florida, now I just need them in my area code, lol.

I hope you're able to find some new yummy places you can enjoy while you're in Fl!!

No BWW!?!??! Oh my goodness!! I'd have to say one of my favorite local places is a place called Fat Patty's. Nationally, I love Macaroni Grill.
